Background

It begins from the early 1996 by a small group of young boys forming themselves together and wanting to be part of the great gospel commission sharing God’s word through music. The inspiration to be a true disciple of God indeed has been inspired within this young folks and the boys started of in Santo. Thanks to the Sarakata SDA church. Outreaching and sharing God’s Love through songs was the group main mission. It took the boys to travel as far as visiting Tanna in 1999 and Paama around the same year. At that time the group called themselves the COMMISSIONERS.

The Commissioners

Sharing God’s love and visiting homes bring the love of our Saviour within the hearts of many and blessed many souls. It was not only that but the group experience challenges and upon such experiences the boys were strengthen spiritually and socially. After few years and the journey of this young men stream them to PORT VILA and from there the group was formally organized.

The Mission and Vision was to tell the world about Jesus. In the year 2000 the boys did a lot in visiting broken homes, encouraging the hopeless and taking the heart of Port Vila through Accappella songs. God steps in to lead the boys forward. Not only that but the group made it all around Efate and its offshore Island. Traveling through rough ages but God was always there to show us the way.

The love of the ministry was so big and young people with unique talents shows interest to involve themselves in this GREAT GOSPEL COMMISSION. With this the group witness the birth of the Revelation 7s, Orion Vocals, Text 8, 7 Hymns, Advocates and the Advent Vocals.

On or about 2004 the idea of combining all this small groups together giving the full effect of witnessing Gods word burns the heart of this young people which we saw the entire groups coming together on the 5th of October 2004 electing a new executive to lead the combination of this young people who called themselves the ACAPPELLA UNION. October 8th of every year was chosen to be celebrating as an annual event and for giving back our praise and glory to our only maker and savior the God of the entire universe, JESUS CHRIST.

The group was organized with a total of over 80 young people. The Acappella Union was very influential and was a very powerful ministry through Vanuatu. We acknowledge the people from Lelepa Island, Mosso Island Pele Island, Nguna Island and the other offshore Islands within Efate. Thorough it all and with the powerful theme Champion of LOVE was the message shared by this young men in the year 2004.
